WOLVEN ANCESTRY TO CO-HEADLINE 20th ANNUAL MICHIGAN DEATH FEST

Archaic North Entertainment artists WOLVEN ANCESTRY will be co-headlining this years MICHIGAN DEATH FEST in Detroit, Michigan. It is the 20th annual event, having been formed in 1990 and it is indeed an honour to have the opportunity to expose WOLVEN ANCESTRY to a large foreign audience. Other notable acts on the bill are Kult ov Azazel, Deceased, Acheron, Quinta Essentia, M Inc, and a whole slew of skullcrushing underground bands. ALL SUDBURY METAL SATURDAYS MOVED TO THE SERBIAN CENTRE

Due to the lack of respect and management skills recieved from The Seduction Lounge/Frood Hotel, we were forced to move and cancel several events that were originally scheduled to take place. For this reason, we have decided to move as many of the confirmed events over to The Serbian Centre (231 Bloor Street) in Sudbury instead. This venue is more of a home-base for Sudbury Metal anyway, so we feel it is a better move for everyone. We do apologize for any inconviniences this may have caused anyone, and we are hoping to rebook the bands that were cancelled at the other venue at some point. All shows happening at The Serbian Centre will take place in the bar downstairs and will be 19+ only. A small cover fee will be at the door to accomodate for the entertainment each night. Unfortunately the October 10th show is cancelled, but the first event scheduled to take place will be:

SUDBURY METAL FEAST 5 MOVED TO THE SERBIAN CENTRE

Due to several reasons, Sudbury Metal Feast 5 will be moved to the same place it was held last year, at The Serbian Centre. Show is all ages and features some great talent with an impressive roster. Half a decade and still going strong!!

METAL NIGHTS EVERY SATURDAY IN SUDBURY!!

Archaic North Entertainment will be providing Sudbury Ontario with Metal EVERY SATURDAY at The Frood Hotel, located at 557 Kathleen Street. Each week will feature live metal bands for a small cover, or DJ Slaytanic will be taking all of your Metal Requests. SUDBURY METAL has the chance to become something larger than ever, so we hope to see you all out at the events each Saturday. (Live Band Shows are All Ages with Bar Upstairs, DJ Nights are strictly 19+. Sorry, but thems the rules).

UPDATE: Saturday Metal Nights is temporarily on hold until a new venue is confirmed. Due to events being double booked by The Seduction Lounge/Frood Hotel, we are forced to look elsewhere for a venue to hold our events. We deeply regret to announce this, and apologize for any inconviniences)

Archaic North is proud to announce that the label's catalogue will now be available through Century Media Distribution, which means our titles will be available Worldwide. We are also in the process of working out distribution with Code7/PHD for UK/Eire and more European regions. The wait is finally over, you will soon be able to get all of our artists titles at most metal stores around the world.

In other news, Wolven Ancestry and Empyrean Plague will be making appearances at this years Nitemare Music Fest in Toronto, October 16-17th at the Velvet Underground so if you live in the area come out and show your support.

Sudbury, Ontario-based black metallers WOLVEN ANCESTRY will be releasing their new album Silence Of The Boreal through their own label Archaic North Entertainment on August 7th. The self produced album contains nine tracks of crushing new material, and songs have recently been posted on their new website at www.wolvenancestry.ca. The album will also have a European release date which is expected to be in October sometime with distribution being seen through Code7/PHD. It will also be available on iTunes and several other digital sites and North American distribution is in the works as well.

Silence Of The Boreal tracklisting: 'The True North...', 'Silence Of The Boreal', 'The Animistic Awakening', 'Memories Of Life Forgotten With Time', 'A Trail Of Blood In Snow', 'Hymn Of The Fallen', 'March Forth Under Tortured Skies', 'Codex Canadiensis', 'The Bering Descent'.

Also announced is the ..And Out Come The Wolves Eastern Canadian Tour with WILL OF THE ANCIENTS. Joining them as support on the Ontario and Quebec dates will be CRYPTIK HOWLING. The tour is an extensive one covering nearly every major city in Eastern Canada and the band's first appearances in the Maritimes.

Wolven Ancestry will also be performing on October 10th at the International Metal Fest in Michigan alongside DECEASED, VESPERIAN SORROW, QUINTA ESSENTIA, GODHATE and many more. It will be the only U.S date the band plays this summer however plans to tour the US are currently on the drawing board.

Wolven Ancestry will be releasing their second offering entitled "Silence of the Boreal" through Archaic North Entertainment on August 7th 2009. The album will be available just in time for their Eastern Canadian Tour with Will of the Ancients. Stops in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia are scheduled.

Pre-Orders are now being accepted for the new Wolven Ancestry album, copies will ship out just prior to the release date. Lots of work has been done to the website since March, including the addition of our long overdue webzine and an active forum for both Archaic North and Sudbury Metal. If you are not a member of the forum, then please sign up and join our metal community.

The recording process for the new and highly anticipated Wolven Ancestry release is now complete, and the album is now in the mixing and mastering processes. Album art will be revealed in April along with the working album title. An extensive Eastern Canadian and East Coast US Tour is being planned for August with some very special guests, and Empyrean Plague is also expected to hit the road this summer for some shows to support their album "Ancestral Embers Shall Burn".
