ECLIPSE ETERNAL has been hard at work preparing for their upcoming U.S and Mid-Western Canadian tour dates with Romania's NEGURA BUNGET and DIN BRAD. To celebrate the occasion they have just released a video for the track "Murder...Suicide" from their latest release "The Essence Of Hopelessness". The video is as grim and chaotic as the song itself so the end result is a solid visual journey into the bands world of endless darkness.

- THE WAY OF PURITY CANCELS US/CANADIAN TOUR DATES -
It is with much regret that we announce that THE WAY OF PURITY, who was scheduled to support the TRANSILVANIAN LEGACY TOUR in the U.S and Canada have cancelled their performances. ARCHAIC NORTH ENTERTAINMENT had worked very hard to get the band shows to debut themselves in North America however due to financial and family problems with members of the band they had to cancel the tour. The staff and bands on the tour wish the band the best of luck in the future and are hoping that they can make it to the U.S and Canada at a later date once things have become more stable for them to make the trip. Local replacements are being sought by local promoters and ARCHAIC NORTH ENTERTAINMENT. A tragic loss has stuck the metal world, as WOODS OF YPRES frontman DAVID GOLD passed away just before Christmas in 2011. His loss has left many people feeling heavy hearted especially in the province of Ontario, but also the world alike. There are a couple of memorial shows scheduled for April 5th in Toronto and April 7th in his hometown of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. ARCHAIC NORTH ENTERTAINMENT artists WOLVEN ANCESTRY, EMPYREAN PLAGUE, and ECLIPSE ETERNAL will be performing at these events to pay tribute to his legacy, as his music inspired many of us here at ARCHAIC NORTH ENTERTAINMENT.
Also, details are currently being arranged to release a special 2CD tribute album to DAVID GOLD, which is to be titled "A Heart Of Gold: A Tribute To Woods of Ypres", which is to be released by ARCHAIC NORTH ENTERTAINMENT in collaboration with NORTHERN STORM RECORDS. EMPYREAN PLAGUE and ECLIPSE ETERNAL will be recording a song to pay homage to WOODS OF YPRES, as well as a cover of "Allure Of The Earth" by AMARANTH, a side project of members of WOLVEN ANCESTRY which will feature some special guests. Details on this tribute album are still being discussed, but we will be posting new information on this shortly as we get more confirmations from bands that wish to contribute to the tribute musically. - ARCHAIC NORTH ARTISTS IMAGES FEATURED IN UPCOMING FILM -
This past November film crews were in Sudbury, Ontario making scenes for the upcoming film "THE LESSER BLESSED", based off the first novel by author RICHARD VAN CAMP. The film was directed by ANITA DORON and stars actors like BENJAMIN BRATT (Law & Order, Congeniality, Demoniliton Man), and KIOWA GORDON (Twilight series).
The film is a drama about a First Nations teenager and his struggles that take place in the modern world. The main character also happens to listen to metal, and not just any metal but has a taste for ARCHAIC NORTH ENTERTAINMENT artists. Art Direction for the film was handled by Sudbury's own Lord of Gore PETER MIHAICHUK who designed custom images for our artists to be displayed in the main characters room. Designs were made for WOLVEN ANCESTRY, ECLIPSE ETERNAL and SIGN OF THE RAVEN so if you get a chance to see the movie keep an eye out for the amazing work he did.
BEFORE THE BLACK GATES have finished recording tracks for their upcoming release which will be available from ARCHAIC NORTH ENTERTAINMENT. The album's release date and title are to be announced shortly, however you can preview a track from their new recording at their reverbnation page or on Facebook. The new tracks have been produced at our partner studios "Sardonic Moon Studios" by Darren Fraust and display the bands sound perfectly. The new tracks show the bands evolution as a blackened death metal band and is much darker and focused than previous materials. Very menacing stuff with hints of thrash and progressive elements which should appeal to fans of the old school and new alike.

You may have noticed lots of changes to the website as of lately. We are totally reworking the website with new sections and graphics making for a much more pleasurable web experience. The time hath finally arrived, and "The Essence of Hopelessness" is now upon us. ECLIPSE ETERNAL have just dropped a bomb on the world in the form of their latest release and it has been receiving great reviews and response from fans and the media alike. The new album displays the bands finest work to date, a perfect blend of darkness and desolation proving the band to be a dominating Canadian Black Metal force. Since 1999 the band has been working hard at getting their unique sound heard amongst the underground, and with "The Essence of Hopelessness" the band has finally poisoned the world with the darkest hymns of murder and suicide.
To support the album, the band has announced it will be touring as co-support for Romania's NEGURA BUNGET this April and May on a tour across the U.S and Canada. The tour is expected to expose the band to new markets in North America and we know for certain that ECLIPSE ETERNAL are going to decimate everyone in their paths along this journey. ARCHAIC NORTH ENTERTAINMENT is proud to announce Romanian atmospheric metal masters NEGURA BUNGET will be making their first North American live dates this April and Mayto support their 15th anniversary "Transilvanian Legacy" World Tour. The band is also scheduled for an appearance at the 2012 installment of the MARYLAND DEATH FEST.
Joining the band on the tour in Eastern Canada is WOLVEN ANCESTRY, and for all US and Western Canada dates the tour will be supported by ECLIPSE ETERNAL. On all dates will be Norway's THE WAY OF PURITY and Prophecy Records artist DIN BRAD, also from Romania which features members of NEGURA BUNGET.

ETERNAL DECAY, Israel based Black Metal maniacs are touring North American soils in 2012, making their debut appearance in Canada.
